Strackbein Apartments

photographer: John Morris

Designed by Vernon Spencer Watson and Thomas Eddy Tallmadge, these apartments in Uptown feature circular geometric patterns often seen in the works of Louis Sullivan, and hallmarks of the Sullivanesque style of the Prairie School.

Original design plans are available in the Ryerson and Burnham Archives at the School of the Art Institute.
